[sdiy] Advice?: Powering up a vintage keyboard after several years

I'd be interested in that Drake communications receiver. Esp. if it's an R7-A ;) 

Just fixed my Kenwood R-600 and hooked up a long wire. Fun to here Gene Scott again , and the hams!

That 'trick' to turn on gradually makes sense and sounds like the advice given to resuscitate dormant electrolytics. Have to remember that one.
