No idea about the archives.
But I can recommend a couple of bench supplies:
HP 6205b or c
HP 6236b
The `05 is two independently adjustable rails at 600 mA each.
The `36 is a 0-6V rail, and dual tracking rails (+ & - in a mirror-image configuration) at 500 mA.
Used, neither is especially expensive. They're not the cheapest, but they're stable and solidly made, putting some extra check marks in the "cheerful" column.

I’m looking for our archives. I found Cary’s copy of them at retrosynth.com, but they cut off at 2011. Is there a searchable one that is more current?
Specifically, I’m trying to remember what the suggestions were for a cheap ’n’ cheerful regulated dual (bipolar) bench power supply. My single output one ain’t cuttin’ it anymore.
I’m in the U.S.
thanks
