[sdiy] Fender Rhodes Pickup Wiring

Hi,
I’m trying to understand the following:
Connecting one pickup to a (low impedance) pre-amp sounds ok-ish, the noise is what it’s expected to be.
Connecting a network (in the manner of the Rhodes wiring, like three parallel, these then chained) is much noisier although the DC resistance just increased from 175Ω to 233Ω.
(can’t measure the impedance)
When connecting the same number of pickups individually to the mixing desk, the increase in noise is negligible.
I was expecting that it sums up, but it doesn’t.
Why’s that?
Thanks, Michael.
