[sdiy] What is DIY? (was Re: Digital delay memory)

Regarding DIY it's very hard to build own components like
semiconductors and such. I would like to give the DIY a definition of
increasing the value of materials by using persons own resources and
abilities. (Maybe someone native in English might find better words
but guess you understood the idea).
