When I was making the Frostwave MS20 filter clones, I included VC of the two 
filter resonances.
Apart from the obvious, it also allows the two sections to be used as note 
generators,
using LFOs to drive them in and out of resonance.
Certainly, some people found this useful. (or abuseful.)
