[sdiy] Variable power supply

I use small powerone dual linear supplies on the bench, they can be trimmed
between 12 and 15 volts, abt $20 on eBay.  That and a 9v wallwart pretty
much covers it.  A fully variable bench supply is more $, and overkill for
most folks
