Hi Joe,
I highly recommend, as a primer, "The Art of Electronics" by Paul Horowitz, "The Audio Cyclopedia" by Howard M. Tremaine, "Handbook for Sound Engineers" by Glen M. Ballou and "Audio Engineering: Know it all" by Douglas Self, Ben Duncan, Ian Sinclair, Richard Brice, John Linsley Hood, Andrew Singmin, Don Davis, Eugene Patronis, and John Watkinso. Sincerely,
Chris Juried

Subject: [sdiy] Audio circuits and basic electronics knowledge recommendation.
Like the adage states, I am a dangerous man. I only have a little
knowledge. I want to learn more. I build monkey see, monkey do. I want
to change that. Will someone recommend a book(yes a book I can hold in
my hands) that will cover simple circuit analysis and basic audio
circuits.
I understand what things do like an Op-Amp but don't understand why an
OTA needs a load to produce a voltage at it's output for instance or why
people put caps where they do and so forth.
I have come a long way with Nick Collins, "Handmade Electronic Music",
but now I want MORE! Joe.
