On the subject of PWM, does anyone know how the "High-speed PWM" in 
Microchip's Motor Control dsPICs actually works?

The marketing blurb boasts 1.04ns period resolution and 1.04ns 
duty-cycle resolution, which seems to imply an almost 1GHz PWM clock 
rate!  I can't find any explanation for how it works in the device 
datasheets or the application notes.
