If you want to learn electronics, I highly recommend Malvino's "Electronic
Principles."  I worked through the 3rd edition, but they're all probably
very similar.

Also, you'll want a good opamp applications book.  I recommend Coughlin and
Driscoll, "Operationals Amplifiers and Linear Integrated Circuits."  It can
be downloaded for free.  Also, you'll need Walter Jung's "IC Op-Amp
Cookbook."  That's really the opamp bible.

Finally, at some point, you'll probably want a copy of Horowitz and Hill,
"The Art of Electronics," although this book is not good for complete
beginners.

Anything by Don Lancaster is good too.
