That was my speculation as well. I have heard of others integrating Python scripts into their C code. Does that make sense? Sincerely,

C is pretty much the only choice, as far as I can tell. Assembly Language is pretty widespread too, but then you're tied to a single processor family. If you want something more portable, it has to be C. There's PICBasic too, but that's the only non-C option I can think of.
