Would also be interested to know how they did the "gain staging" with 128 voices of polyphony to mix into just a 12-bit output!!!

If they allowed for all 128 voices to sound at full velocity without clipping that would only leave 5-bits of resolution for each voice! This would obviously sound awful, so there must be some dither going on and/or AGC to deal with the dynamic range.
