That assumes a kind of matching between the two halfs of the 13700 that may 
simply not be there.  For starters, I don't think that the input-referred 
offset between the two halfs is correlated enough.

Using the second OTA to drive the main one with an input current rather than 
an input voltage (which does wonders for linearity) seems like the better 
deal to spend that half OTA on (I just see that Neil posted that circuit 
already, so no need to dive in further).
