Thanks for the replies everyone - gives me a few options to look at. I like the 3D printing idea - thanks Sarah.

Pity such a part doesn't seem to exist off the shelf though.

To clarify - there's 3x 16x pin headers - 1x of them is being used for power and the other 2x are used for optional comms. The board is powered under normal use and the power header is protected for getting the cable the wrong way round - but connecting a power cable to the comms headers would make bad things happen. Thankfully - that's a pretty unlikely scenario but you know how these things go!

Wasn't the point of the thing to *stop* people connecting power to the board, or did I get the wrong end of the stick?

A conductive bit of foam woudn't be a problem on a non-powered board, wouldl it?
