Interesting that you say that. TDS500/700 oscilloscopes have bullet-proof SMPSU's, but the 100 or so decoupling electrolytics on the main boards are legendary for leaking. If you are lucky the scope starts failing self-test as an early warning. If you aren't so lucky then you need to find the damaged tracks and vias. YouTube is full of repair videos.
