One of the fascinating undocumented secrets of the ARP 2600 is that, on the second VCO, the polarity of the Sine output is opposite the Triangle output. So if you simply mix the two together you can suck the fundamental out of the Triangle leaving the odd harmonics. Which can be musically useful.
(Paraphrasing Dr. Strangelove, "But what good is that feature if you don't tell anyone?")
So, on the ARP 2600, the Triangle wave is 90 degrees off from the Sawtooth wave, the Sine wave is opposite polarity to the Triangle, and the Square wave is opposite polarity to the Sawtooth, and it follows that the Sine is also 90 degrees from the Square. 'Got that? Good!
(This is crying out for a clever mnemonic tool. Anybody?)
