Philips semiconductor doesn't exist anymore.
Except for relatively small lighting, personal care and medical divisions
the whole of Philips has been sold of.

The semiconductor went on as NXP, they wanted to merger with Freescale,
don't know if that deal went on.

Audiovisual stuff with a Phillps logo is actually... GIBSON, they licensed
the Philips brand name.
So if your brand new Philips HiFi set sounds like a crappy guitar amp, you
could be right.
