[sdiy] VCO - sine output - why bother?

So in closed architecture synth sometimes you have 2 or 3 oscillators
and also suboscillators going to one filter that you don't want to tune
down to fundamental then. Or if one osc can be used to modulate the
other one - this is most wanted use of sine. Use in LFO was mentioned
already.
Sine is not that much of a circuitry compared to total design, and one
waveform more is good selling point.
