Why not use some of the 433MHz ISM band modules? You could also just buy a "car stereo adaptor" and gut it.
Bear in mind that if it's for a commercial device that you intend to sell, it will need to be thoroughly tested for a CE mark - no self-certifying radio transmitters :-)
