[sdiy] Freebass 383 ROM anyone?

Check for oxidisation on the chip legs. Sometimes useful to rub with deoxit and a cotton bud / q-tip.

Also, sometimes oxidisation occurs in chip sockets, so a piece of stiff wire inserted and removed a few times might help there also.

Brilliant, I'll look at that tonight.

Regarding "CONNECT ERR", that actually shows up on the display on the programmer (an old Stag PP41) when I hit the READ button, not on the host PC.  The programmer definitely works, as my mate Malc's recently upgraded Six Trak will attest :-D
