I finally decided to have an enclosure manufactured
(folded 1/16" thick metal sheet) from a local company..
It will accept 3 rows of 6 footswitches. (18 overall)
Here is what will be done:

The toling + material will be around $30.00CAD overall !

I think it's the best way..

Thanks everybody.

switches..

I'm looking for a diecast aluminum enclosure
to build a footswitch board with 12 pushbutton switches..
I'm looking for something like this:

http://www.hammondmfg.com/1590B2_B.jpg

But BIGGER !
Something like 15"wide x 12"deep x 2"thick max.
A slant top would be fine too.

Hammond enclosures web site has a whole collection of
diecast enclosures but they are all 'boxy' instead
of being flat. When the enclosure is large enough
the thickness is too high for footswitching..

I found some slant enclosures but they are not large
and deep enough and are made of 1/16" thick aluminum (not diecast)
that would bend with many actions on the switches.
Not very reliable..

If anybody has a link on something..
Thanks
