Texas Instruments TPS2051 is a good choice for this. Current-limited power-distribution switch family, with maximum current selected by choosing the right part number. The part numbers vary according to the number of switches and the current capacity of each. Grab the data sheet and look at the table to see which part number is best.
The LaunchPad used a slightly larger chip than I needed, and I think I cut the cost a little by scaling back.
