Hi Jean-Pierre,
does it need to be diecast aluminum?

If you find a local sheet metal shop, they should be able to bend some
steel or aluminum into a a U shape for you. From there you can attach a
wood bottom/sides or have them do flanges at the bottom/sides for metal
attachments. 

There's some local places that sell sheet metal here and they'd be happy
to knock something like this out from a napkin drawing over their lunch
break for some under-the-table cash.
