Right, but for the sake of a few pennies you've saddled yourself with only having a deeply crappy assembler for developing with.

Stick the STM32 in, pay the <A3>0.89 for an entry-level chip, and use a plain ordinary gcc/gdb toolchain, and save yourself some time.
