It's lemon juice. Citric acid. The only environmental issue there is the
metal that may have been dissolved in the flux, and given the number of
people here who even give serious consideration to using lead for new
construction, I wouldn't worry too much about traces of tin, copper, and
silver from modern water-wash solder.
