Very possible.  Most like to brag of their accomplishments without fully revealing them. They suspect metal detector corporations are viewing the forum for ideas to steal and patent. Most threads end in fighting (like this one did there - actually got split into a new one, which I've never seen done before). Still, some very smart people...
