[sdiy] Microchip PIC 5 x 4 matrix

NXP (and probably TI) make these 16-bit versions too: PCA9575 for 
instance. Does this PIC have I2C? Adding a bit-bang *and* a chip do the 
scanning is probably not the most economical for either time or money.
