Or code libraries that come from MCU Silicon vendors. It's been a while 
since I did USB-MIDI and I don't recall if I started from scratch but I 
doubt it. The one that bit me though was a USB Mass Storage Device 
library that was full of holes.  In fact I find a lot of the USB 
"frameworks" are quite poor.
