Subject: [sdiy] 7.5V regulator?

I need to power a CMOS chip off of +/- 7.5V and was wondering if there is a
convient drop-in regulator or reference. I looked at my usual sites but

It might be a little sleezey, but could you use a 7908 and 7808 with a diode
drop on each side?
