Quite often the current requirements for LEDs of different colours are
similar - it's the voltages that vary.  But if I wanted to drive different
LEDs with different amounts of current for whatever reason (different
colours, different types of LEDs of the same colour, even different
brightness levels for identical LEDs), I would split them into separate
chains per distinct value of current.  That seems the easiest solution.
