Good point. My primary goal is to design modules that sell as a pair, so at least one side won't have knobs competing for access. On the other side, though, I could offer a wider face plate for folks who need to install next to something with knobs right at the edge. It might be a good idea to have an option for width.

I see that Doepfer have the A180 in 4HP for "regular" folks and the A180-2 in 2HP for folks who really need to cram things in their rack. I don't know if those 2HP compatible nuts are available for horizontal mount jacks.
