[sdiy] MOS 6581 SID Chip for Commodore 64/128... sale ending tonight.

This thread had really got me thinking so I did some "in-depth" 
investigation. This is scary! A lot of our coveted obsolete analog 
components (chips, transistors, and even trimmers) are being 
counterfeited. Would you buy a batch of 200 MN3007's from China on Ebay? 
Not me. John, you are right. These "fakes" are even showing up in 
reputable supply chains. A newbie hobbyist could go insane debugging a 
circuit if you start building with some off branded op amps or even 
simple 2N3904's with reverse pinouts (which I am finding is very common!).
