But there are still all the older and cheaper opamps (and a few new ones
too), running off 36V and more supply. This is why +/-15V was chosen
decades ago, to make sure at least +20dBm signal would not clip for sure
with opamp technology known back then.
It's difficult to find rail to rail opamp with 36V supply range, this is
sad true, but with +/-15V rails it's not really necessary to have R-R in
typical audio circuit.
