Just want to throw in two parts from TI that I've learned about
recently: TPSA7A3001 and TPS7A4901

These are low dropout regulators designed to clean up the noise from
DC/DC converters. They should work for switch mode supplies fine.

Drawback: The current is a bit limited with 2000mA total, and it is a
fine pitch SMD part with cooling pad underneath the package, so not as
easy to solder than a good old DIP.
