[sdiy] Connector Q

Have seen many electrical connectors over the years, but never one of those!
Have you checked in case there's any manufacturer's marking or part no. on
the side of the moulding that's currently against the PCB?

Does the PCB footprint have the same pitch as a D-sub connector? Maybe you
could replace it with a D-sub pair on that PCB and whatever board it mates
with?

The only other thing I can suggest is to get a load of Samtec/Molex/Amp/etc.
catalogues and thumb through those, or show that picture to a rep next time
they're in.

Best regards,

-Richie,

Any of you guys know of a source for this type of connector, or even just
who made it ?
http://www.colinfraser.com/connectr.jpg

It's like a D-sub with blade contacts, used on Yamaha FX-1 cards.

TIA,
Colin f
