The analysis isn't quite as rigorous as in the other two papers, but it's 
still worth a read for anyone interested in VA modelling techniques.

I remember some guys at a Synth DIY meet in Cambridge asking me how the 808 
cowbell sound was made, and why it sounded so peculiar!  They had a giant 
modular synth with them, and we managed to get quite close to the sound 
after about 5 minutes of tinkering with a couple of oscillators, a band-pass 
filter, VCA and envelope generator.
