[sdiy] [OT] Yamaha PF-85 question

I've got a (positively antique) Yamaha digital piano with a vexing
problem: several keys have gone mushy, with no apparent cause.
Presumably there's something amiss with the key return springs,
but swapping springs with a good note just results in both keys
being mushy!

Given that this beast has almost no value at this point, I don't
want to put huge amounts of time or money into it, but I'm
loath to just throw away what could still be a working instrument.
(I'm sure I'm not the only list member who's been in this
position.)

So, throwing this out to the list, anything simple I'm missing?
The service manual just covers the electronics, the only page
regarding the keyboard itself is the exploded parts diagram.

And furthermore, as this is off-topic for synth-DIY, is there
a more appropriate place to ask about this problem?

Thanks for any insights, everyone.
