[sdiy] Powering a second bit of kit from same PSU (wiring options)

If you're really sure that the output of the power supply can take it, then soldering another plug on in parallel with the existing one is simple and works fine.
If you're pushing the supply hard, beware of things getting hot. I'd run it for a bit and then turn it off and check how it's doing. It's as well to be cautious.

With both units on the same supply rails, you're right to wonder if there might be noise or crosstalk problems, but I'd recommend trying it and seeing what happens before you try and fix something that might not be an issue.
