Not mentioned in the tutorial that I could see, but I think the ink
mentioned is heat set (you can do this in a toaster oven.)
All the lasting metal screen printing I have seen is either heat set or cured by UV lamps.
As has been observed, solvents for cleanup are usually pretty nasty.
