Hello Richie,

it happend to me once, the result was a blown fuse and a LED that 
exploded, got really careful after that with the ground probe. The 
10073D probes are expensive, farnell charges 300euro. I rather have not 
such expensive probes, they often got caught between the botom and the 
front panel of a synthesizer and it works like a shear if you open and 
close the front panel. I also have broken leads just above strain relief.
