Cheers Tim - that could potentially be a very elegant solution ;)

No, seriously though - that might do the job just fine as it would let me get down inside the sockets.

Subject: [sdiy] Solder resist/mask?

Hello,

Had a prototype PCB come back to me this week where the photo-resist layer wasn't properly aligned with the traces so some of them are exposed and one of them is shorting when a lead is inserted into a socket (no more traces under sockets - lesson learnt!).

If I bought something like either of these guys could I paint(?) over the exposed traces to seal them up for a few weeks until I go to the next iteration of the board?

...or any other suggestions?

Not looking for a permanent solution as I'll be redoing this board anyway - just need a few weeks worth of kludge :)

Thanks!

- J
