As long as you don't use the moog trademark and the PCB layout is your
own design, you're free and clear.  The Moog ladder filter patent
expired long ago.

Modusonics did business as Moog CE for years selling moog modules, he
changed the name to avoid infringing on the trademark but has no
restrictions on the modules.

Don Buchla said he doesn't object to clones as long as the Buchla name
is not on them.
