I have all the solvents mentioned here but I find White Spirit to be the best for removing old glue residues, it doesn't smell nice but it doesn't strip paint, melt any plastics or damage silk screen printing. It is also cheap and widely available. Isopropanol will remove any traces of the white spirit afterwards.
