[sdiy] OT - stubborn residual Velcro adhesive on front panels.

I've had great success with lighter fluid (Ronsonol). I always do a test first to ensure it won't melt the paint and/or plastic, but much to my surprise I've yet to encounter a finish it destroys - also yet to encounter a residue it won't remove.
