[sdiy] [OT] Illustrator CS6 .dxf file into Solidworks CAD - help!

Sorry for the OT,

Any of you got any experience with troubleshooting getting an Illustrator CS6 .dxf file imported into Solidworks CAD?

Have a very tight deadline with a less than accommodating supplier who, after many years of not having any problems importing my .dxf files (for a front panel) now, apparently can't import the file properly - everything is coming up as individual splines rather than shapes/curves.

I've done all the Illustrator-end troubleshooting I can think of - layers, fills, groups, compound paths, other file versions, etc - nada.

If there's a Solidworks operator in the house that knows their stuff - I'd appreciate any help you could offer.
