To keep the bit centered, it's probably best to do the forstner bit
first. Do this on a drill press with a depth-stop adjusted properly,
then follow up with the regular twist bit for the through-hole, using
the small centre-pin dent left over from the forstner to perfectly
centre the hole (or clamp the workpiece to the drillpress and never move
it).
