Hi All,
I have fixed several SH09's over the last few years, and a quick perusal 
of the the service docs refreshed my memory. The IC in question is IC2, 
an LM13741 from Nat Semi. I would suspect this is the culprit.
A TL081 is not quite good enough but a CA3140 is. Even though the 
original chip is in a can it has the standard DIP footprint. Take the 
old chip out, new chip in a gold plated turned pin socket (or not), 
clean all flux off with Isopropanol and the problem should be sorted.
It has worked on all the SH09's here that have had sample and droop.
