[sdiy] OT: Annoying gap removal

Paul,

What about David L. Jones? (EEVBLOG) I love his videos. Once he had
a Rode mic designer there and they spent much of a whole episode
talking about the innards of Rode mics. That was f--king awesome!
Yeah, they scribbled on a white board drawing schematics with tubes
and such but I learned things I had not previously considered. The
Rode guy explained why one should use a very specific capacitor type
at a certain location in the mic and his reasoning seemed quite
sensible. And when Dave wails on about a less than stellar product in
a review I love it even more. "Oh crikey, this DMM is the biggest
piece of shit I've ever seen!" "What a piece of crap." And
then he explains why it is a piece of shit. When you see that, one
tends to remember it and you'll not buy one. Seeing a product in
actual use by someone who knows how to use it, is valuable.

Perhaps we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

Best!
