The ADVFC32 datasheet sez it will go to 0 Hz. The LM2907 does not, but looking at how it operates I suspect it will work. You'll have to watch capacitor leakage...

Subject: [sdiy] (Low) frequency to voltage conversion
Has anyone got any experience with using off the shelf F/V chips like LM2907/LM2917/AD650/ADVFC32 with frequencies between approx. 1Hz and 0.001Hz?
A quick review of a few data sheets today seems to show that they focus on the upper range of capability rather than the lower range. The AD650 mentions it's linearity at 10KHz.
I'm looking at options other then a uM or from scratch 'Tacho' circuits for F/V conversion in the sub 1Hz range.
P.S. I'm currently only after measuring 50/50 square waves...
Thanks,
- J
