I'm a new user of LTspice and love it.
But one question comes in about the library
file extensions .sub .mod .lib etc...
I browsed on the web and found some new opamps
to add in my LT library. TL071,2,4 LM324, LF412, etc..
Most of them have the .MOD extension but looking
in the LTspice /lib/sub directory I found that
many opamp already there has .SUB .LIB .CIR extensions.
I read somewhere that in LTspice component's file extension
doesn't really matter.. If the syntax is OK for LTspice
it will open and use it.
But there must be a reason for so many extensions
for the same purposes..?
Could anybody put some light on these differences ??
