I would pretty much ignore the manual as it seems like it is written by someone non-technical. "In its fully anticlockwise position, Q is approximately zero, and there is no emphasis of the signal at Fc". A Q of zero is self oscillation, so it has a lot of emphasis at the cutoff frequency. --Andy
